An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Manager to join a leading high-tech manufacturing and engineering organisation. This role offers the chance to take ownership of a complex technical site, including cleanrooms, laboratories, manufacturing spaces, and critical infrastructure, while leading both internal teams and specialist service partners.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring operational reliability, compliance, safety, and continuous improvement across the site. Working within a collaborative and welcoming environment, you will have the opportunity to drive long-term improvements while supporting business growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Proven facilities management experience within a technical or highly regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of critical building services and infrastructure
  • Experience managing cleanrooms or controlled environments
  • Demonstrated success managing contractors, suppliers, and service providers
  • Sound understanding of UK health, safety, and compliance legislation
  • Experience leading, developing, and motivating teams
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning, asset management, and lifecycle strategies
  • Understanding of sustainability and energy management practices

Qualifications

  • Engineering, Facilities Management, or related qualifications are advantageous
  • Professional membership (IWFM, CIBSE, or similar) would be beneficial
