Facilities Manager – Job Position Description

As a Facilities Manager at CGI, you’ll lead the delivery of safe, secure, and high-performing workplaces that empower our people and clients to succeed. You’ll oversee diverse facilities services, build trusted client relationships, and drive continuous improvements that boost operational efficiency.

  • A competitive salary
  • Excellent pension scheme
  • Private healthcare
  • A share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching), making you a CGI Partner, not just an employee
  • Commitment to inclusivity and diversity
  • A Gold Award for supporting the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant

Due to the secure nature of the role, you’ll need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain it.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring buildings remain compliant, secure, and efficient while delivering a high-quality workplace experience.
  • Overseeing hard and soft FM services to enhance operational performance.
  • Managing statutory compliance, audits, and planned maintenance.
  • Supervising contractors, suppliers, and service performance.
  • Championing Health & Safety, security, and business continuity.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing facilities team members.
  • Managing budgets, purchase orders, and operational costs.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Supporting workplace events, new hires, and operational planning.
  • Managing site security rosters to ensure full coverage of shifts.
  • Participating in the UK on-call Duty Manager rota.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
