Hexcel is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for our Duxford, UK location.

- Manage the day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of buildings, plant, equipment, and site grounds.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and corporate EHS standards.
- Maintain statutory compliance across all facilities areas, including fire safety, asbestos, legionella, and PSSR.
- Plan, manage, and monitor planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
- Appoint, manage, and performance‑monitor external contractors and service providers.
- Support and manage capital projects, refurbishments, and lifecycle planning initiatives.
- Control facilities budgets, manage purchase orders and invoices, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Act as the main point of contact for audits, inspections, and regulatory visits.
- Manage risk assessments, permits to work, emergency procedures, and facilities documentation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to schedule works and minimize downtime to operations.
Qualifications

- Proven experience managing both hard and soft facilities services.
- Experience of facilities management within a complex manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of building services, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and fire systems.
- A recognized qualification such as IOSH, NEBOSH, IWFM, or equivalent.
- Experience managing contractor performance, service level agreements, and vendor accounts.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance requirements and facilities‑related legislation.
- Excellent budget management and cost‑control skills with strong commercial awareness.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and effective time‑management skills.
- Confident communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate facilities and compliance records.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the country where the position is based.
