Facilities Manager – CBRE
About the Role
As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium-sized buildings.
This role forms part of the Facilities Management functional area, focusing on all aspects of asset operations and supporting Property Managers with repairs and investment planning.
What You’ll Do

Team Leadership & Development
- Provide formal supervision to employees, monitoring training, performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoring.
- Oversee recruiting, hiring, scheduling, task assignment, and staff development.
- Mentor team members and ensure alignment with CBRE RISE values.

Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance, collaborating with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
- Inspect facilities for quality assurance, compliance with regulations, and operational efficiency.
- Recommend repairs, upgrades, and cost-saving solutions.

Budget & Project Management
- Manage capital projects, budgets, and variance reports.
- Review vendor invoices and procurement processes, ensuring fair pricing.

Safety & Compliance
- Oversee environmental health and safety procedures.
- Conduct training on maintenance, repair, and safety best practices.

Stakeholder & Conflict Management
- Maintain positive client relationships and resolve facility issues.
- Lead cross-functional teams, negotiating agreements to achieve shared objectives.

Problem-Solving & Decision-Making
- Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues, including system gaps.
- Apply discipline-specific knowledge to drive team and departmental goals.
What You’ll Need
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Facilities Management certification (preferred).

Experience & Skills
- 3–5 years’ experience in staff management, performance evaluation, training, and mentoring.
- Strong leadership to inspire high-performance teams with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Advanced analytical skills, including financial calculations.

- Ability to handle sensitive, challenging conversations with tact and clarity.
- Organisational acumen with a curious, problem-solving mindset.
- Technical expertise to navigate facility operations and adaptive project management.
