Are you an experienced facilities professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service?

We are seeking a Facilities Front Desk Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day facilities operation across a prestigious London estate, including modern office environments and iconic public venues. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile organisation and play a key role in ensuring colleagues, visitors and stakeholders receive a first-class experience. This is a fully office-based role in Southwark, working on-site five days per week. Hybrid working is not available for this position.

£22.79 per hour PAYE | £29.59 per hour Umbrella

The Role

As Facilities Operations Team Leader, you will manage a team of Facilities Assistants and take responsibility for the smooth operation of reception, helpdesk and front-of-house services. You will ensure buildings are safe, welcoming and maintained to a high standard while coordinating facilities activities, contractors and operational support services.

You'll be a visible presence on-site, leading from the front and ensuring facilities services are delivered efficiently across a busy and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and manage a team of Facilities Assistants.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered to staff and visitors.
  • Oversee reception, helpdesk and switchboard operations.
  • Plan and manage staff rotas, resolving cover requirements and absences.
  • Deliver daily team briefings and communicate operational priorities.
  • Manage and monitor requests through the CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) system.
  • Coordinate contractors and facilities activities to minimise disruption.
  • Conduct site inductions for new starters.
  • Support facilities communications, service updates and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of events and meetings.
  • Monitor service delivery standards and undertake quality inspections.
  • Manage visitor access procedures and pass administration.
  • Respond to facilities-related incidents and emergencies, including building evacuations, service outages and operational disruptions.
  • Act as the senior facilities lead in the absence of the Facilities Manager.
