Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

Are you a proactive and passionate Facilities Manager, that is dedicated to lead the management and upkeep of the warehouse? If you thrive in a dynamic environment and have a commitment to safety and efficiency, we want to hear from you!

Role

As the Facilities Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that all building systems, site services, and facilities operate safely and efficiently. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Oversee the maintenance and management of building systems and services within the distribution centre.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and Health & Safety requirements in line with UK laws.
  • Maintain site facilities and implement planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Plan and supervise operational site renovations or refurbishments, managing contractors effectively.
  • Source and oversee contracts and service providers, while managing the facilities and maintenance budgets.
  • Address site maintenance and facilities emergencies promptly.
  • Take ownership of the internal FLT management system and manage the MHE fleet on site.
  • Supervise external cleaners and security personnel, managing waste effectively.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in facilities management within a warehouse or industrial environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with management systems.
  • An analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
  • Solid customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strong understanding of workplace health and safety (NEBOSH qualification preferred).
  • Proactive and innovative, with a willingness to take the initiative.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Flexibility to work across different shifts as required.
