Facilities Manager
Building / Estates Manager /Facilities Manager Location: Middlesbrough – Centre Sq and Boho buildings
We’re looking for a hands-on Facilities Manager to represent Praxis Facilities Management and take ownership of the day-to-day operation of a key site.
This is a highly visible role where you’ll act as an ambassador for the business, ensuring the site is safe, compliant and operating to the highest standards, while delivering a first-class experience for tenants, visitors and colleagues.
About Praxis Facilities Management:
Praxis Facilities Management Ltd (“PFM”) provides the necessary on-site services to Praxis Real Estate Management managed properties which includes 400+ directly employed individuals covering management, operations, marketing, security, administration, maintenance and cleaning.
The role
You’ll take a proactive, on-the-ground approach to managing the estate, ensuring all public, communal and tenanted areas are safe, secure and well maintained. Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in maintaining compliance with all statutory requirements and internal standards.

You’ll be expected to:
- Oversee facilities management and contractor activity on site, ensuring work is carried out safely and to specification
- Maintain accurate records, including asset registers, tenant information and compliance documentation
- Manage health, safety and security, responding effectively to incidents and emergency situations
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks where required
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation and estate upkeep
- Support lettings and marketing activity, including facilitating access and viewings
A key part of the role is delivering an excellent on-site experience. You’ll:
- Provide a professional front-of-house presence, welcoming visitors and managing site access
- Build strong relationships with tenants and stakeholders
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across reception, deliveries and contractor access

About you:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, site-based environment
- Highly organised, observant and detail-focused
- Confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
- Proactive, reliable and able to work under pressure and use initiative
You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience in facilities, estates or a public-facing environment
- A strong understanding of health & safety responsibilities
- Relevant qualifications such as IOSH Managing Safely and/or FM/SIA certification
- The ability to contribute to budget management and service charge oversight
