The Role
The role is responsible for the day-to-day facilities management of live EV charging sites, ensuring all locations are safe, compliant, well-presented, and fully operational. Reporting to the Head of Network Operations, you will act as the operational interface between site hosts, facilities providers, and internal teams, managing post-installation upkeep, coordinating maintenance activities, managing service partners, and maintaining agreed site standards in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Operations & Maintenance
- Manage the operational condition of EV charging sites as part of a live facilities estate.
- Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and reactive works with landlords in line with SLAs.
- Manage third-party contractors and service providers, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to standard.
- Ensure Site Partners are fulfilling their obligations under the Lease Agreement.

Site Standards & Asset Care
- Ensure all sites consistently meet agreed facilities, safety, accessibility, and presentation standards.
- Coordinate site inspections, audits, and condition surveys, raising and tracking remedial actions.
- Manage signage, bay markings, lighting, fencing, and surrounding areas.
- Oversee minor works, repairs, and asset replacements.
- Manage onboarding of new sites into the asset register end to end.
Compliance & Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and facilities management best practice.
- Monitor contractor RAMS, permits to work, and site access requirements.
- Identify, escalate, and manage safety hazards, defects, and compliance risks.
- Support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the primary operational contact for site hosts, managing agents, and facilities teams.
- Coordinate access, permits, and works scheduling with landlords and occupiers.
- Manage landlord operational issues and complaints through to resolution.
- Implement initiatives from the wider Customer and Network team to improve customer experience and increase revenue.

Performance Management & Reporting
- Monitor asset performance, site availability, and service delivery against SLAs and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate facilities and asset records.
- Produce regular operational and performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Contract & Commercial Management
- Manage obligations and site partner/landlord obligations, ensuring adherence to contract.
- Support preparation of annual budgets and ensure operational budgets are tracked monthly.
What You'll Need
Essential:
- Experience in facilities management, property operations, or multi-site asset/contract management.
- Proven experience managing contractors and service-level agreements.
- Strong understanding of health and safety, compliance, and building services coordination.
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sites across a geographically dispersed estate.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience managing electrical or energy-related assets.
- Knowledge of EV charging infrastructure or similar critical assets.
- Familiarity with asset management systems.
- IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent.
