Facilities Officer
🚨 Facilities Officer 📍 North London 💰 £30,235 per annum (including London weighting) 🕒 Full-time | Permanent
The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is looking for a proactive and hands-on Facilities Officer to help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of its vibrant campus environment.
This is a varied and practical role where you’ll support the operational running of the campus through building maintenance, health & safety compliance, security, room set-ups, porterage, and general facilities support across the school.
Key responsibilities include: Carrying out minor repairs and planned preventative maintenance Supporting health & safety and compliance checks Locking/unlocking buildings and responding to alarms Preparing rooms for lectures, exams, performances and events Supporting with furniture moves, deliveries and porterage Assisting with fire safety procedures and emergency response Working closely with contractors, staff and students to maintain a safe and welcoming campus environment

We’re looking for someone with: Previous facilities, maintenance or building support experience Good understanding of health & safety practices Strong teamwork and communication skills A proactive and flexible approach The ability to work independently and solve problems calmly and effectively

The role operates on a rolling shift rota (8-hour shifts between 07:30–23:30, Monday–Friday with occasional weekends).
