Facilities Operative Department: Facilities Management Employment Type: Full Time Location: Valley Mills, Drighlington Compensation: £26,250 / year

Description Our Facilities team plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in keeping Vintage Cash Cow running smoothly. We’re a small, hands-on group responsible for the cleanliness, functionality, and overall upkeep of our spaces—ensuring every area is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.

Working closely with teams across the business, we take pride in creating an environment where everyone can do their best work. Whether it’s maintaining spotless communal areas, supporting with kitchen duties, or handling day-to-day facilities tasks, we’re all about reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail. As a Facilities Operative focused on cleaning and kitchen support, you’ll be at the heart of our daily operations. You’ll take pride in keeping our workspaces and communal areas clean, organised and well‑presented, while also supporting with food preparation and kitchen duties. Your contribution ensures our environment is safe, hygienic, and a great place to work.

In your first few weeks you’ll get to know our cleaning routines, kitchen processes and health & safety standards. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues to learn our schedules and systems.

As you settle in, you’ll look for ways to make our facilities even better, helping to improve our cleaning routines, suggest smarter ways of working, and ensure our kitchen and communal spaces always meet high standards.

Key Responsibilities Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all facilities. Support the kitchen team with food preparation and daily routines. Create a safe, organised environment that enables teams to work at their best. Carry out daily cleaning of workspaces, communal areas, restrooms, and kitchen facilities. Assist in basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients. Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces are kept clean and sanitised in line with health & safety regulations. Operate dishwashing machines or manually wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items. Receive, check and store deliveries safely and efficiently, maintaining stock rotation. Report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly to the Facilities Manager.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Experience in a cleaning, kitchen, or facilities support role. Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards. Ability to follow instructions, prioritise tasks, and work efficiently in a busy environment. Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong sense of pride in maintaining high standards. Approachable, helpful attitude and great teamwork skills
