The Role

Painter & Decorator – Apply your craftsmanship to ensure commercial or industrial building interiors and exteriors meet high-quality business specifications, safety standards, and project deadlines.

  • Surface preparation:
    • Clean, sand, fill, and prime surfaces prior to painting and decorating
    • Repair damaged walls, ceilings, and surfaces before applying finishes
  • Application of finishes:
    • Apply paint, varnish, stains, wallpaper, and other decorative coatings using brushes, rollers, or spraying equipment
    • Mix and match paints to achieve precise colours and textures
    • Hang wallpaper and decorative finishes accurately and neatly
  • Safety and professionalism:
    • Follow health and safety regulations, including safe usage of ladders and equipment
    • Protect furniture, floors, and fixtures using dust sheets and coverings
    • Maintain tools and equipment in optimal working condition

To excel in this role, you must demonstrate:

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent qualification)
  • Valid CSCS card (for construction/site roles)
  • Full UK driving licence – essential due to travel requirements

Location

Headquartered at Marsh Mills with regular travel to all Vospers sites.


Salary

Salary ranges dependant on experience and qualifications and will be discussed during interview.

Hours: Monday to Friday
