The Facilities Project Engineer is responsible for planning, construction, safety and maintenance of building infrastructure or manufacturing/production equipment and systems. May be responsible for the repair, maintenance, installation and enhancement of machinery and mechanical equipment. This position reports to the Senior Facilities Manager and is part of the Facilities Department located in Harbourgate and will be an on-site role. What you will do: Plan, coordinate, and execute facilities projects within agreed scope, budget, and timelines including refurbishments, equipment upgrades, building improvements, and infrastructure works. Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans. Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and risk assessments. Ensure all works comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and company policies. Who you are: NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). Demonstrated experience managing small to medium facilities projects. Good knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (COSHH, NEBOSH, PUWER) Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) a software solution used in facilities management to plan, track, and optimize maintenance activities and asset performance or other facilities management systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: Ability to travel – to other sites, and work at our Langstone Park Facility Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record Ability to lift, move or carry equipment and any other physical requirements It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Project Management qualification (Prince2, Agile, PMP) Previous experience of working in a fast paced Facilties Department Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
