Labcorp is seeking a Senior Facilities Project Manager to join our team at Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (37 hrs)
About the Role
The Senior Facilities Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of all facilities projects for their designated site(s). The role ensures high-quality services, continuous improvement, added value, increased productivity, and cost efficiencies, working in close collaboration with the Site Facilities Manager, UK Project Manager network, and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) teams.
Key objectives include aligning CapEx projects with local and regional strategic plans, supporting site maintenance, break-fix, and growth activities, and monitoring project budgets for consistent capital expenditure and reliable cashflow forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Operational Leadership
- Assist departments in forming project briefs by chairing meetings to gather relevant information for planning future projects
- Drive feasibility studies and growth solutions in alignment with the company’s expansion goals
- Lead procurement processes, preparing sketches, working drawings, and specifications to ensure contractors accurately deliver projects

Contract & Tender Management
- Develop contract specifications, schedules of work, and contract documentation* defining tender terms and conditions
- Evaluate tenders/quotations when competitive tendering is used
- Finance oversight for all projects while authorising payments and ensuring adherence to agreed budgets
Site & Operational Support
- Provide day-to-day supervision of works, verifying compliance with:
- Project specifications
- Tender documentation
- Quality standards
- Manage site records (e.g., building services, drawings, manuals)
- Contribute to maintaining a technical library for shared project development
- Offer technical support to the Operations Supervisor and tradespeople
Collaboration & Compliance
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business needs, EHS targets, sustainability goals
- Support site emergencies during off-hours
- Apply knowledge of energy conservation best practices to improve cost efficiency
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
- Degree in Construction Management
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven supervisory experience in facilities, construction, or technical/mechanical engineering roles
- Budget management, contract negotiation, and financial control expertise
- In-depth building services regulations knowledge for cohesion enforcement
- Strong understanding of building design practices and fast-track construction methods
- Previous problem-solving and technical support for operations/managers
- Site emergency response capabilities (on-call availability)
- Clean full UK driving license
