Job Opening: Facilities Team Members at Weymouth Hospital and Associated Sites
We are hoping to recruit two members of staff to join our Facilities Team at Weymouth Hospital and its associated sites such as Littlemoor Health Centre and Portland Hospital.
About the Role
This multiskilled role is working in a friendly hospital environment, helping with cleaning and catering and porter duties.
Key Details:
- Type of Role: Part-time (23.50 hours per week)
- Flexible Hours: 7am to 8pm each day depending on shifts
- Shift Variations: Short shifts (4pm-8pm) and longer shifts (7am-2pm) depending on service demands
- Opportunities for Additional Hours: To cover annual leave and sickness absence
- Enhanced Pay for Weekend Work: Additional pay for weekend shifts
- Annual Leave Allowance: Generous annual leave allowance
Responsibilities
Porter Duties:
- Receiving deliveries and supporting in unloading deliveries such as stores, linen, and catering deliveries
Cleaning:
- Duties across the site, working to NHS cleaning standards
- Weekly duties supporting the cleaning of clinical areas, cleaning toilets, emptying bins, and many other duties of a cleaning service throughout the site

Catering:
- All onsite training will be provided (experience preferred but not essential)
- Supporting our catering service within the main hospital kitchen
- Basic catering duties such as making fresh sandwiches and salads
Additional Requirements:
- A full UK driving license is desired as you may be required to use the hospital vehicle to deliver meals to a nearby site
Training and Support:
- Full training, support, and uniform will be provided
- Shadowing current experienced staff to enable the successful candidate to become confident in their role
