Facility Manager

Job Description Summary

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of one or more facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for occupants. This role oversees facility services, vendor and contract management, budgeting, compliance, maintenance programs, and team leadership while delivering high levels of customer service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily facility operations, including maintenance, engineering, custodial, and site services.
  • Oversee vendor contracts, service delivery, compliance, and cost management.
  • Ensure facilities are maintained to operational, safety, and appearance standards.
  • Respond to occupant requests and drive service excellence in line with SLAs.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, regulations, safety standards, and insurance requirements.
  • Support capital projects, facility improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop facility team members.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance and continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5–7 years of facilities, property, or building management experience in a commercial or corporate environment.
  • Experience managing vendors, contracts, budgets, and building operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and facility management systems; CMMS experience preferred.
  • Industry certifications (CFM, IFMA, BOMA) are a plus.
