Facility Supervisor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Facility Supervisor to oversee the safe, secure and environmentally compliant delivery of operational activities. Working closely with operational, engineering, project and maintenance teams, you will provide day-to-day supervision, support problem solving, conduct safety inspections, and help ensure work is delivered efficiently and to the highest safety standards. This is a key role for an individual who enjoys leadership, accountability and driving operational excellence in a regulated environment.

At NRS Dounreay we're seeking a proactive Facility Supervisor to oversee the safe, secure, and environmentally compliant delivery of work across a range of projects. This is a rewarding role where you'll play a key part in supporting operational success, driving safety performance, and ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and supervise operational and maintenance activities within the facility, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with site procedures and environmental standards.
  • Provide visible leadership in the workplace, promoting a positive safety culture and setting high standards of performance, compliance and teamwork.
  • Attain, or work towards attaining, competency and authorisation as a Permit-to-Work Issuer, Radiological Protection Supervisor (RPS), RMC, and AWO Liquid. Develop the capability to undertake Red Hat Line Manager responsibilities.
  • Provide day-to-day support, guidance and problem-solving expertise to operational, engineering and maintenance teams, helping to deliver work safely and effectively.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, identifying improvement opportunities and taking prompt action to address risks and non-compliances.
  • Monitor Facility Operations, maintain accurate records and logs, and support the effective management of changes that may impact operational scope, delivery or cost.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience supervising teams or work activities within an industrial, engineering, construction, maintenance or similarly regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in the workplace.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, coordinate and support a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with strong organisational skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
