About the Role
We’re seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our established Factoring Team. In this role, you will:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and estate management in communal blocks across the Scottish Borders
- Support property upkeep in residential and communal spaces
Key Details
- Salary: £24,479 - £25,437 per year (pay award pending)
- Location: Scottish Borders
- Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday
- Contract: Permanent
- Closing Date: Wednesday 15 July 2026

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain stairwell areas in communal blocks
- Perform litter picking in external communal areas of blocks
- Report repairs and maintenance issues in communal spaces
- Escalate neighbourhood concerns to the Local Housing Officer
- Promote safe working practices and comply with SBHA’s Health and Safety policies
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
Must possess:
- Excellent customer care skills
- Ability to work independently at a high standard, with attention to detail
- Capacity for collaborative teamwork
- A full and valid UK driving licence with access to personal transport
- Essential: Experience in cleaning and clearance of domestic and commercial properties
