Factoring Assistant

About the Role

We’re seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our Factoring Team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and estate management across communal blocks in the Scottish Borders.

Key Details

  • Salary: £24,479 – £25,437 per year (pay award pending)
  • Location: Scottish Borders
  • Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Closing Date: Wednesday, 15 July 2026

Main Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain stairwell areas in communal blocks
  • Conduct litter picking in external communal spaces
  • Report repairs, maintenance issues, and neighbourhood concerns to the local Housing Officer
  • Promote safe working practices and adhere to SBHA’s Health and Safety policies

Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high standards with attention to detail
  • Experience in collaborative teamwork
  • Full and valid UK driving licence with access to your own transport
  • Essential: Proven experience in cleaning and clearance of domestic and commercial properties
