Role Overview

The Factory Fitter will report to the Finishing Manager. As a Factory Fitter within a close-knit team, your duties will primarily consist of completing the mechanical fit-outs of our bespoke products through to completion, in preparation for dispatch. Ensure all fitting activities are executed to strict quality standards, meeting the project requirements in a safe and cost-effective manner. Factory fitters will be expected to carry out any other tasks as directed by the Finishing Manager and/or Operations Director, to support the day-to-day running of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Mechanical fit-outs of bespoke products
  • Ensuring high-quality output and adherence to health and safety
  • Working within a team or independently, meeting deadlines
  • Providing updates to supervisors and managers
  • Adhering to strict safety protocols

A Factory Fitter will operate within the Fitting department, and will competently carry out the following to an efficient and high-quality output:

  • Ensure the mechanical fit-outs are completed to the appropriate levels of quality and to standards and manufacturers best practice
  • Responsible for providing the relevant Supervisor/Departmental Manager with progress updates and raise concerns where necessary

Who We Are Looking For

There is no formal qualification required to carry out this role. On the job training will be provided and where applicable a personal development plan will be detailed and reviewed periodically.

Desirable Qualification/Knowledge Criteria

  • Full UK driving license
  • CPCS Slinger Signaler
  • IPAF/PASMA
  • First Aid at Work
  • An industry applicable ONC, C&G or NVQ
  • Knowledge of the utilities/water industry
