The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Factory Manager or senior manufacturing leader with a background in food manufacturing?

At Pilgrim's Europe, we're looking for a proven leader with food manufacturing experience to take ownership of our manufacturing operations at Anwick. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering excellence across safety, quality, people, cost and performance, while driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Working closely with the Site Director, you'll help shape the site's operational strategy, lead high-performing teams and ensure manufacturing operations consistently deliver against business objectives. You'll also act as deputy to the Site Director when required, making this an excellent opportunity for an ambitious leader looking to broaden their strategic impact.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead manufacturing operations to deliver outstanding safety, quality, service and cost performance.
  • Champion a behaviour-based safety culture, driving our "Go for Zero" approach across the site.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Coach and develop Production Managers and their teams to build a high-performing manufacturing function.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence (OPEX) and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Use operational data and KPIs to identify opportunities and improve performance.
  • Lead key operational projects, including capital investment, process improvements and new product implementation.
  • Optimise labour and manufacturing resources to maximise efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure the site is always audit-ready, maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality and compliance.
  • Build strong relationships across the business and represent Operations with internal and external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Previous leadership experience within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience as a Factory Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager or in a similar senior manufacturing leadership role.
  • A strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence (OPEX) and continuous improvement.
  • Proven success in improving safety, quality, productivity and operational performance.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and people development skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • The confidence to influence change, make decisions and build high-performing teams.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent).
  • Level 3 HACCP and Advanced Food Safety qualification.
