Factory Operative
Location: Witham, Essex
Pay: £12.85 per hour
Hours: Weekly rotating - 06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00
We are currently recruiting Factory Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Witham.
This is an excellent long-term opportunity offering full-time hours, ongoing training, and the chance to secure a permanent position with a significant pay increase.
This role is ideal for candidates with previous manufacturing or factory experience who are looking to join a busy production environment with genuine career progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Of Factory Operative
- Preparing products ready for the manufacturing process
- Working on production lines within a fast-paced factory environment
- Operating machinery and manufacturing equipment
- Using overhead cranes and forklifts where required (full training provided)
- Loading, unloading and safely moving products around the factory
- Carrying out quality inspections on finished products
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
- Following all production procedures and health & safety regulations
- Assisting other departments as required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or factory environment
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual handling duties
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A good understanding of health & safety within a manufacturing environment

Working Hours
Week 1
- Monday to Friday: 06:00 - 14:00
Week 2
- Monday to Friday: 14:00 - 22:00
(Rotating weekly shifts)
Training
Successful candidates will complete an initial training period on the day shift before moving onto rotating shifts.
