Factory Operator – Leeds, LS13 4HT

- Night shifts (6pm – 6am)

- Operating manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently to meet quality, output and cost targets
- Ensuring daily operational excellence, improving efficiency and reducing waste
- Supporting KPIs like Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), safety, and hygeine standards
- Participating in continuous improvement and BWS projects
- Maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards
- Carrying out basic first-line maintenance and equipment changeovers
- Acting as a role model, promoting teamwork and best practice
- Communicating performance updates between operations, leadership and support teams
- Coaching and mentoring colleagues on equipment use, processes, and improvements
Experience & Key Attributes
Ideal candidates will have: ✔ Previous experience operating machinery (preferably in FMCG, manufacturing or production) ✔ Strong manufacturing & process knowledge, including continuous improvement & TPM principles ✔ Experience with SAP & production systems ✔ Awareness of Health & Safety, Hygiene, and food production standards ✔ Basic engineering & maintenance skills, such as:
- Equipment check-ups
- Lubrication tasks
- Simple repairs ✔ Excellent communication and ability to train and support teammates ✔ Commitment to accountability, teamwork & continuous improvement
