Location: Chesterfield | Contract: Full-time, Permanent | Hours: 40 per week

The Role: Fall Protection Support Operative
Are you an experienced professional in fall protection, or someone with a strong background in field-based services seeking a new challenge? Omega Red is looking for motivated individuals to join our team, develop their skills in height safety, and begin a long-term career within a supportive growing organisation.
As a Fall Protection Support Operative, you will assist in the installation, testing, and repair of height safety systems across multiple UK sites. You’ll work alongside senior engineers to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This role offers:
- Training for industry recognised qualifications, including an NVQ in Working at Heights following a qualifying period

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation, testing, and repair of height safety systems across commercial and construction sites nationwide
- Support lead engineers to ensure:
- Work is completed safely, timely, and to specification
- Maintain high health & safety standards
- Follow risk assessments and safe working protocols
- Contribute to positive team dynamics while developing technical proficiency on-site
What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience in fall protection or height safety (desirable but not essential)
- Field-based or remote working experience
- Flexibility and willingness to travel nationwide
- Proactive, self-motivated approach with sound judgement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working at height or a commitment to training in this area
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- CSCS card (desirable)
