Job Opportunity: Family Associate at a Leading London Law Firm

A highly regarded, top-ranked London law firm is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Family Associate to join its award-winning team in Central London.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading family team working on a broad mix of children and financial remedy matters, including high-value and cross-border cases. You will work closely with Partners and Senior Associates on a varied caseload, with strong exposure to complex and high-profile work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on a wide range of family law matters, including children and financial remedy cases
  • Managing cases from initial instruction through to conclusion
  • Preparing key legal documents including witness statements, court applications, and financial disclosure (Forms E, ES1, ES2, etc.)
  • Handling contested hearings, interim applications, and FDRs
  • Supporting on cross-border children matters, including liaising with international lawyers and relevant authorities
  • Drafting instructions to counsel and experts
  • Maintaining accurate file management, time recording, and billing
  • Contributing to business development, marketing initiatives, and profile-raising activities

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with 1–4 years’ PQE in family law
  • Experience handling both children and financial remedy matters
  • Background working with high-net-worth or complex family cases
  • Strong technical ability with excellent attention to detail
  • Commercially aware with a client-focused approach
  • Confident communicator with the ability to explain complex issues clearly
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage competing deadlines
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
