Family (Care) Legal Secretary
Family (Care) - Legal Secretary Location: Birmingham City Centre Salary: up to 28k
A well-established National law firm is seeking an organised and proactive Family Care Secretary to join its busy Family Care team based in Birmingham City Centre. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to solicitors handling family care proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing secretarial support to solicitors and fee earners.
- Preparing legal correspondence, court documents, and bundles.
- Managing diaries, appointments, and court hearings.
- Liaising with clients, courts, barristers, and other professionals.
- Opening and maintaining client files using the firm's case management system.
- Handling telephone enquiries, emails, and post.
- Assisting with Legal Aid administration and general departmental support.
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within deadlines.

Requirements
- Previous legal secretarial or legal administrative experience.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong typing and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Experience in family law or Legal Aid is desirable.
