Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £50,166 to £54,277 per annum | Grade L | Dereham (Breckland)
Hello,
I’m Jenifer Dewar, Assistant Director for Family Help at Norfolk County Council. Norfolk is a ‘Good’ authority with ‘exceptional leadership.’ We take great pride in our Social Work Teams and value every practitioner we have.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Management Team at Norfolk. Family Help aligns with some of the ambitions outlined in the National Children’s Social Care Review (2022) and the Government’s response, Stable Homes Built on Love (2023). We continually amplify and refine practices that have been successful for our children, families, and practitioners in Norfolk for years.
About the Role
We are seeking a Team Manager with a professional qualification at Education to Degree level or equivalent (e.g., in social care, health, education, psychology), or demonstrable frontline management experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a multi-disciplinary team with a focus on early family intervention
- Providing excellent people management, including recruitment, budget management, and mentoring
- Driving sustained improvements for children and families
- Ensuring our relationship-based, preventive work results in durable change
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
