Family Hubs Relief Facilitator

Job Title: Family Hubs Relief Facilitator

Salary: £29,253 – £32,736 per annum (pro rata for part-time hours)

Grade: C Contract: Permanent Hours: Part-time (22 hours per week)

We are seeking a dedicated Family Hubs Relief Facilitator to deliver high-quality universal and targeted sessions for families with children aged **0–11 (or up to 25 under selected circumstances if identified as needing support)]. The role involves fostering engaging, inclusive, and welcoming environments to encourage parental engagement, planning and evaluating services to support family well-being, and promoting accessibility of all Family Hub offerings.

The post holder will collaborate across three localities, ensuring services align with diverse family needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality sessions tailored to the needs of families with children aged 0–11 (or 0–25 for SEND-linked support).
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment to encourage family participation.
  • Offer information and support aligned with the 0–19 (up to 25 SEND) wellbeing model.
  • Plan, evaluate, and implement sessions and services responsive to family needs.
  • Engage parents/carers in their children’s learning, supporting them to navigate and utilise all available Family Hub services.
  • Work harmoniously across three communities to ensure consistent and inclusive service delivery.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Reflect and adapt community engagement strategies based on family feedback and feedback.

Key Experience & Skills Required

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills—able to connect effectively with young children, parents, and carers.
  • Experience coordinating and delivering family-focused services in early years or community settings is highly regarded.
  • Ability to work amicably with multiple agencies, community partners, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning, organising, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in digital methods for data management and reporting.
  • A valid UK driving licence and reliable transportation to travel across the borough required.

Qualifications (Essential)

  • Child Care qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3.

Additional Requirements

✅ DBS Check: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including Children’s Barred List clearance.
