Make a real difference for children and families. Join us at BCP Council.

We are transitioning to deliver family help, and wish to ensure the right support, skills and expertise is available alongside the family help teams to deliver intensive support to children and families when they need it.

We are looking for passionate, skilled and relationship-focused workers with the necessary skills and experience to join us to deliver intensive work, helping to create lasting change for families across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Why BCP?

Our Workforce Says It Best

  • “It’s a lovely place to live and work… vibrant communities right on the coast.”

At BCP, you’ll join a service where relationships matter, professional development is encouraged, and colleagues work together to achieve the very best outcomes for children and families.

About The Role

You will provide focused pieces of intervention as part of a wider multi-agency plan, working alongside the allocated Family Help Practitioner (Lead Professional) who retains overall case responsibility.

Your work will take place in a range of settings including family homes, schools, and community environments, providing practical, hands-on support to address specific needs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
