Family Law Paralegal (Private / Public) – Bristol

Up to £30,000 + Benefits + Bonus

A leading boutique family law firm is looking to appoint a Family Law Paralegal in Bristol to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Paralegal to work within a Legal 500-recognised practice, supporting experienced solicitors on high-quality, privately funded matters.

You will join a specialist firm known for its compassionate, client-first approach and strong track record of developing paralegals into qualified lawyers. As a Family Paralegal in Bristol, you will gain hands-on exposure to complex family law work and clear progression opportunities within a collaborative, multi-office environment.

The Role

  • Supporting solicitors on divorce, financial remedy, and private children matters
  • Assisting with file progression from instruction through to conclusion
  • Drafting legal documents, court applications, and correspondence
  • Preparing court bundles and hearing documentation
  • Liaising with:
    • Clients
    • Courts
    • Counsel
    • Third parties
  • Conducting legal research and assisting on complex matters
  • Providing administrative and case support across the team
  • Delivering excellent client care throughout

The Candidate

A paralegal with:

  • Experience in family law (minimum 12 months preferred)
  • Experience supporting privately funded family matters
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Confident communicator with strong client care ability
  • Ambitious and keen to progress within family law
  • Proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, empathetic, and client-focused approach
