Family Law Partner

Location: Manchester

Salary: £105,000 to £155,000 (plus bonus)

Experience: Senior family lawyer with a following and the ability to build a team


If you’re a senior Family lawyer who wants the autonomy to shape your practice, build a team around you, and properly tap into the Manchester market, this is a strong Partner opportunity with genuine backing.

Our client is looking to strengthen their Family offering with a senior hire in Manchester. This is a growth role, with the scope to build a team over time and develop a strong, sustainable practice in the local market.

You’ll have flexibility around the mix of family work you focus on, and you’ll be supported to recruit as the practice grows.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and growing the Family offering from Manchester
  • Building and maintaining a client following, developing new relationships and strengthening existing ones
  • Shaping the service line, including the type of work you focus on and how the team is built
  • Supporting recruitment activity as the practice expands, including mentoring and developing new joiners
  • Contributing to business development and market-facing activity to raise the firm’s profile in Manchester

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong family law experience at a senior level, with the credibility to lead a practice
  • A following and a track record of generating work in the Manchester market (or the ability to build it quickly)
  • Commercial mindset and confidence in business development
  • Leadership capability, including the ability to recruit, mentor and develop a team
  • Professional, approachable communication style and a genuine commitment to client care
