Family Law Solicitor

£34,000 to £48,000 (dependent on experience) plus up to £15,600 in quarterly performance incentives

  • excellent benefits (Work Level 6A). Hybrid working: Manchester City Centre, Bristol, Stratford-Upon-Avon or Sheffield – one day a week in the office, remainder remote. Hybrid Working Policy

We’re growing our Family Law team and are looking for motivated NQ and Associate solicitors to join us.


About the Role

You’ll manage a mix of new and existing family law cases end-to-end with a client-first approach, aiming to meet cost and profit targets without needing to source clients yourself.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a mixed caseload of family matters, using active negotiation to secure the best outcomes for clients (administrative support provided).
  • Use our case management system to ensure accurate client/stage details are documented.
  • Achieve individual and team chargeable time & profit cost targets.
  • Draft, review, and audit all legal documents and correspondence.

Your Criteria & Strengths

Ideal candidates bring:

  • Solicitor qualification (SRA) or CILEX qualification, with proven experience in privately funded family law cases.
  • A track record of meeting chargeable/billing targets in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in legal software/case management systems and general IT skills.
  • Strong relational skills, with experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to provide customer-first service.
  • High attention to detail, excellent organization management, and the ability to adjust to change as needed.
  • Resilience and a solution-focused attitude under pressure.
