Be part of something life changing.
For our students and for you.
We are looking for a Family Liaison Officer to join our team.
At SCA, attendance is more than a number. It is the gateway to opportunity, belonging and lifelong success.
Thanks to the relentless commitment of our staff, students and families, attendance across the academy has improved significantly. But we're not finished yet. Following the retirement of our current inspiration Family Liaison Officer, we're now looking for a new Family Liaison Officer to help us continue that journey - someone who refuses to accept that circumstances should define a child's future.
This is not a desk-based administrative role. It is a role for someone who thrives on building relationships, solving complex problems and making a tangible difference every single day.
We believe there are no problems - only solutions. We're looking for someone who shares that mindset and is willing to support our drive to achieve the Leading Parent Partnership award.
About The Role
The Family Liaison Officer will work alongside students, parents, carers, colleagues and external agencies to identify and remove the barriers preventing young people from attending school. You'll celebrate success, provide practical support, challenge where necessary and ensure every family understands that education changes lives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
