Family Paralegal

Location: London

Salary: £30k - £35k

Working Pattern: Full-time

About the Firm

A leading boutique family law firm specialising in complex private family matters is seeking an ambitious and detail-focused Family Paralegal to join its growing team.

The firm advises a prestigious client base, including high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, on sensitive and often complex family law matters. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, partner-led advice, this is an excellent opportunity for a Family Paralegal looking to develop their career within a specialist practice.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with Partners and Solicitors, providing high-quality support across a varied caseload of private family law matters. The role will involve assisting on complex financial remedy matters, divorce proceedings, children cases, and other sensitive family disputes.

This position would suit a proactive and organised individual who is looking to gain exposure to high-quality family law work within a supportive and intellectually challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day support to Partners and Solicitors on complex family law matters.
  • Assisting with divorce and separation matters from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Supporting financial remedy cases involving complex assets, business interests, trusts, and international elements.
  • Preparing legal documents, correspondence, and court documentation.
  • Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries.
  • Reviewing and analysing financial disclosure documentation.
  • Assisting with the preparation of court bundles and hearing materials.
  • Liaising with clients, counsel, experts, and third parties in a professional and sensitive manner.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
  • Supporting with file management, billing processes, and general case administration.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working within a family law team, ideally within private family law.
  • Experience supporting divorce, financial remedy, and/or children matters.
  • A strong understanding of family law procedures and terminology.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional and client-focused approach, particularly when dealing with sensitive matters.
  • Experience dealing with high-net-worth clients would be advantageous.
