Role and Facility Information
Encompass Pregnancy Care is a collaborative, team-based perinatal clinic serving the East Kootenay region. Encompass brings together family physicians, midwives, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive, inclusive, culturally safe care from conception through postpartum and newborn support up to eight weeks after birth.
Located in the vibrant community of Cranbrook, BC, Encompass is on the traditional, unceded territory of the Ktunaxa Nation. We are surrounded by the stunning mountains, rivers, and forests of the East Kootenay. Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Family Physicians to join our multidisciplinary team. These roles offer flexible, full-time or part-time shifts, with opportunities to work alongside experienced physicians, midwives, and maternity nurses.

- Provide prenatal and postnatal care
- Attend deliveries at East Kootenay Regional Hospital
- Support family planning, pre-conception counselling, and lactation support
- Collaborate with midwives, maternity nurses, mental health clinicians, and allied health staff in a team-based care model

Candidate Qualifications
- Experience or interest in maternity care (prenatal through postpartum)
- Comfortable with hospital-based deliveries
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
- Flexibility and responsiveness within a rural, community-based clinic

- Compensation Type: Clinical Service Contract
- Estimated Remuneration: 220.000-230.000
- Physician Overhead: N/A
- Billing Split: N/A
Benefits and Incentives
- May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:
- Retention Premium: 14.00%
- Retention Flat Fee: $21,696
- Relocation Funding Available: $9,000-15,000
- Recruitment Incentive: $6,000
