Imagine practicing family medicine with the team you've always wanted.
What If You Could:
- Manage a 650-patient panel instead of a much larger traditional practice.
- Practice alongside an experienced interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Focus on building meaningful, long-term relationships with your patients.
- Have no physician overhead.
- Work in a modern, purpose-built Community Health Centre.
- Help shape one of British Columbia's most innovative models of integrated primary care.
Our goal is simple: to create an environment where physicians can rediscover the joy of practicing family medicine while making a meaningful difference in the lives of the patients and communities they serve.
Located in Surrey's rapidly growing Health & Technology District, just minutes from Surrey Memorial Hospital, The Health Centre is a modern, purpose-built Community Health Centre that opened in September 2023.
Designed around one simple philosophy—patients achieve better outcomes when healthcare professionals work together—our Centre delivers comprehensive, trauma-informed, culturally safe, gender-responsive care for vulnerable women, children, and families who often experience complex medical, mental health, and social needs.
Surrey is one of British Columbia's fastest-growing communities and continues to experience significant investment in healthcare, education, research, and innovation, making it an exciting place to build a rewarding career in family medicine.
About Our Team
At The Health Centre, physicians never work in isolation.
You'll be supported by a fully integrated interdisciplinary team that includes:
- Nurse Practitioners
- Registered Nurses
- Social Workers

- Occupational Therapists
- Kinesiologists
- Registered Dietitians

- An integrated Dental Team
Together, we provide seamless access to primary care, mental health services, rehabilitation, wellness programming, nutrition services, dental care, and community support all under one roof.
When fully operational, our Community Health Centre will provide integrated, team-based care for approximately 3,725 attached patients, improving access to high-quality primary healthcare for one of British Columbia's fastest-growing communities.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're growing and are always interested in connecting with exceptional physicians who are passionate about collaborative, patient-centred care.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Each full-time physician manages a panel of approximately 650 patients, allowing time to build meaningful patient relationships while delivering comprehensive longitudinal care.
Supported by experienced nursing, allied health professionals, and administrative staff, physicians can focus on clinical care while collaborating with a team that helps address their patients' medical, mental health, rehabilitation, and social needs.
Whether you're early in your career, relocating to British Columbia, looking for a more collaborative way to practice family medicine, or simply interested in locum opportunities within a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
WHY OUR MODEL WORKS
Family medicine is increasingly complex—but physicians shouldn't have to manage that complexity alone.
At The Health Centre, our interdisciplinary model means patients receive the right care from the right professional at the right time.
Physicians remain the clinical lead while working alongside skilled nurses, allied health professionals, and community health workers who help address the medical, mental health, rehabilitation, and social factors that influence health outcomes.
This collaborative approach allows physicians to focus on delivering exceptional longitudinal care while knowing their patients have access to the broader supports they need to thrive.
