The Cranbrook Medical community is offering a highly flexible opportunity for a family physician who wants to integrate sports medicine into their practice. We will work with you to curate a combined practice in sports medicine along with family medicine/ hospitalist/ long-term care, or another medical area of interest, to provide a varied and rewarding scope of practice. If you are interested in a sports medicine subspecialist role with links to an engaged orthopedic team and collaborative family medicine community, there are options for short- or long-term locum work.

The Opportunity

  • Approximately 14-18 hours/week in a supportive and multidisciplinary physiotherapy clinic
  • Review an established flow of referrals from primary care providers
  • Assess conditions and recommend treatment plans
  • Provide injection therapies, including ultrasound-guided injections
  • Ideal for physicians seeking flexibility, balance, or a gradual transition to a permanent role
  • Collaborate with surgeons when necessary for further treatments or surgical interventions
  • Mentorship support from experienced sports medicine and orthopedic colleagues for physicians interested in pursuing sports medicine
  • Blended Fee-for-service and LFP remuneration based on practice structure
