Family Solicitor (Associate) 3–6 Years PQE

Location: Liverpool, Manchester, Preston or Leeds (Hybrid Working)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Solicitor (Associate level, 3–6 years PQE) to join a leading regional law firm with an outstanding reputation for delivering exceptional client service.

Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you'll advise on a varied and high-quality caseload, including complex private children matters, high-value financial remedy cases and matters with an international element. This role offers excellent career development opportunities, exposure to advocacy and the chance to work alongside recognised specialists in Family Law.

This position can be based from the firm's offices in Liverpool, Manchester, Preston or Leeds, with hybrid working available (2 days per week in the office).

  • Manage your own caseload of private family law matters.
  • Advise on complex private children disputes.
  • Handle financial remedy matters, including high-net-worth cases.
  • Support senior lawyers on complex and high-profile cases.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients.
  • Deliver practical, empathetic and commercially focused legal advice.
  • Undertake advocacy where appropriate, with support to further develop these skills.
  • Contribute to business development and networking activities.
  • Play an active role in the continued growth and success of the team.

About You

We're looking for a solicitor who has:

  • 3–6 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in Family Law.
  • Experience managing their own caseload.
  • Strong knowledge of both private children and financial remedy work (essential).
  • Experience of, or a genuine interest in, international family matters.
  • Advocacy experience or a desire to develop advocacy skills.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
  • An interest in networking and developing professional relationships.
