Family Solicitor (NQ–3)

A new opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor to join this growing Family team of a leading Legal 500-ranked London law firm.

They are looking for a solicitor (NQ – 3) to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative team. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of high-quality private family work, acting for a diverse client base that includes entrepreneurs, professionals, high-net-worth individuals and families.

The team is recognised for providing pragmatic, commercially minded and compassionate advice across all aspects of family law, with a strong focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for clients during often sensitive and complex situations.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload, with appropriate supervision, while working alongside experienced family lawyers on a wide variety of matters, including:

  • Divorce and separation
  • Financial remedy proceedings and complex financial settlements
  • Private children matters and child arrangements
  • Cohabitation disputes
  • Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
  • Negotiated settlements, mediation support and other forms of alternative dispute resolution

Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on all aspects of private family law
  • Drafting court applications, witness statements, consent orders and settlement agreements
  • Negotiating settlements and supporting clients through all stages of their matters
  • Attending court hearings and liaising with counsel where appropriate
  • Working closely with barristers, experts and other professional advisers
  • Maintaining excellent client care through clear, proactive communication
  • Managing files in accordance with SRA and regulatory requirements
  • Contributing to business development initiatives and helping strengthen the team's profile

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ - 3 PQE)
  • Experience gained in private family law
  • Exposure to divorce, financial remedy and private children matters
  • Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills
  • A compassionate and client-focused approach
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Commercial awareness and an enthusiasm for developing long-term client relationships
  • A collaborative approach and desire to build a successful career within a leading Family practice
