A bit about the role

As a Family Support Practitioner, you’ll work collaboratively with children, young people, and families to help them build on their strengths, overcome challenges, and achieve positive outcomes. You’ll provide tailored support through assessment, intervention, and ongoing review, empowering families to make sustainable changes in their lives. The role involves delivering parenting and family support programmes, advocating for children and families, and working in partnership with a range of agencies to ensure needs are met effectively.

You’ll also play a key role in supporting young people with additional needs through the delivery of engaging, inclusive, and high-quality group activities. By building positive relationships and creating welcoming environments, you will help young people develop confidence, independence, social skills, and meaningful connections within their communities.

About the Service

AB56 Futures

The main purpose of the AB56 service is to provide a holistic, needs led, rights-based family support service to families in Moray where there is a child under the age of 5 within the household. This service is a Tier 2 Family support service and intends to bridge the gap between universal services and targeted intervention services reducing need to refer to Social Work services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The service delivery model provides a preventative intervention to families within their own homes and communities and supports families to identify their needs and develop strategies for meeting these. The theme of emotional, physical, and social wellbeing underpins all of the work that the service does and keeping children safe and families at the centre of decision making is of paramount importance.

Group Activities

Moray Group Activities is a vibrant service offering short, social opportunities for children and young people aged 5–18 working with additional or neurodiverse support needs. We’re committed to creating a fun, inclusive, and supportive space where young people can build confidence, develop social skills, and enjoy meaningful activities alongside their peers.

Our group sessions run after school and at weekends in various locations across Moray, shaped by the needs of the children and families we support. Each session is designed to be engaging, nurturing, and accessible—helping young people feel safe, included, and able to thrive.
