About Us
The Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Support Project (SCTSP) is a well-established charity committed to improving the lives of children, young people and families. Through our Community Family Support Service, we provide early intervention and practical support to help families build resilience, strengthen relationships and achieve positive outcomes.
Our Vision
Is to provide Early Help at the earliest opportunity, improving outcomes for children and young people while reducing the need for specialist or crisis services.
The Role
We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and committed Family Support Workers to deliver our Community Family Support Service across South Staffordshire and Stafford.
You will work directly with children, young people and families, providing practical and emotional support and helping them to achieve sustainable change. Using a range of evidence-based approaches and tools, including Early Help Assessments, Parenting Programmes and Outcome Star, you will support families to identify strengths, overcome challenges and improve outcomes.

Working collaboratively with schools, health professionals, social care, and community organisations, you will play a key role in ensuring families receive the right support at the right time.
About You
We are looking for individuals who have:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification or above.
- Experience of working with children, young people and families.
- Knowledge and understanding of Early Help and safeguarding principles.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills.
- Experience of working effectively with multi-agency partners.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
- Ability to work to deadlines and achieve service targets.
- Good IT and record-keeping skills.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Contract Details
- Fixed-term contract: 12 months (with potential to extend)
- 37 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
