Salary: £41,200- £53,560 depending on experience
Hours: Full Time/37.5 Hours

Ticehurst has an opportunity for an experienced Family Therapist to join our team.

Set within 48 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens in a small village in East Sussex, Priory Ticehurst House is an idyllic location which allows us to provide a highly therapeutic environment, making us the perfect place for people staying with us to begin their recovery. We work collaboratively with the discharge teams to ensure a smooth transition back into existing community services, or to an individual’s home, where possible.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.

  • Provide high-quality systemic family therapy to patients and their families, supporting recovery through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver person-centred care plans, ensuring families are actively involved in the treatment process where appropriate.
  • Promote positive outcomes by strengthening family relationships, enhancing communication, and providing education and support throughout the patient's recovery journey.

What you'll bring to the role

Essential for the role – Family Therapist

Applicants should hold a Master’s-level qualification in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy (typically a 4-year qualifying course), with mandatory UKCP registration via an approved route (e.g., IFT/AFSP or the College of Family, Couple and Systemic Therapy). AFSP (formerly AFT) registration is also expected. Applicants should have post-qualification experience in mental health settings, including inpatient and/or outpatient services.
