Family Time Assistant - Amber Valley Children’s Social Care
The post is full-time, 37 hours per week and is based at The Hub, South Normanton, Amber Valley locality. The post is fixed term for 12 months from August 26 to cover for secondment.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Children’s Services for dynamic and committed individuals to play a role in Children’s Social Care.
The role of the Family Time Assistant supports children to maintain contact with their family as part of any legal proceedings.

You will work across the locality delivering Family Time sessions in a range of council and community venues.
What will I be doing:
- Driving children to and from Family Time.
- Making observations within Family Time.
- Ensuring the health and safety of children within Family Time.
- Maintaining records on electronic systems.
- Maintaining communication with locality Social Workers and Practice Supervisors.

What skills and experience do you need to have:
- Be enthusiastic, versatile and self-motivated with the ability to work well as part of a team
