Family Worker - Family Placement Team (pay award pending)
At Bracknell Forest Council, we champion children and place learning at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Family Worker to join our Family Placement Team.
About the Role
As a Family Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting special guardians and foster carers. This position requires 3 foster days per week at our Time Square office with opportunities for flexible working arrangements, including remote work when needed.

Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience working with foster carers and looked-after children
- Deep knowledge of relevant childcare legislation and best practices
- Strong writing/oral communication skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Collaborative strength: experience working with professionals in a high-stakes, people-focused environment
- Passion for delivering high-quality care to children, young people, and their families

Key Responsibilities
- Support foster carers and special guardians, organising training, support groups, and events
- Find families that align with the future needs of our young people
- Liaise with social workers, providing practical, evidence-based support
