About The Role
Bright Start Children’s Centre Services are looking for a committed and experienced fathers practitioner to support delivery within the Bath and North East Somerset area.
The role involves working closely with children and their families through family support, with a particular focus on engaging fathers, expectant fathers and non-birthing partners. You will deliver evidence-based interventions through home visiting and group work, supporting families to build positive relationships, improve outcomes and access the right help at the right time.
About You
You will work in partnership with a range of agencies including health services, early years settings and voluntary sector organisations, contributing to whole-family assessments, planning and coordinated support.
The Successful Candidate Will
- Have a relevant qualification in a children and families related discipline.
- Have experience of undertaking assessments and delivering targeted interventions.
- Have experience of working with children, families and complex needs.
- Have experience of engaging fathers or male carers.
- Demonstrate knowledge of child development, attachment, safeguarding and Early Help practice.
- Have experience of multi-agency working.
- Be able to build effective relationships with families using empathy and professionalism.
- Work well as part of a team to deliver the BEST services for local families and so improve their lives.
