Assistant Food & Beverage Manager – Tattershall Lakes Country Park
Hours of work: 40 Hours – Fixed Term Salary: £28,000
About the Role
We’re seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join the management team at our welcoming pub: Tattershall Park Pub.
Deeply rooted in history, this vibrant venue thrives as the heart of a country park, welcoming guests, holiday homeowners, and the public alike. Our fresh, in-house gastro pub menu—served for lunch and dinner—blends classic charm with modern flair, delivering an exceptional atmosphere. The beautifully designed interior, expands into stunning garden spaces, making it a lively, welcoming hub for fresh faces and repeat visitors.
For someone with strong hospitality experience who loves the hustle of a busy, customer-centric environment and can step into leadership with natural grace, this role is a chance to shine.
You’ll support the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and kitchen, working alongside the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure outstanding food, drinks, and service while maintaining high operational standards.
Essential: A motivating and hands-on attitude, keen eye for detail, and excellent interpersonal skills. Evening/weekend work (including bank holidays) is a must.
Key Responsibilities
Your role includes:
- Leading, training, and motivating the team to deliver guest delight and maintain service excellence.
- Ensuring a smooth operational flow—from pre-service to after-service coordination.
- Working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, always keeping service and teamwork at the core.
- Driving revenue and profitability through service and smart sales growth, with competitive flair.
- Managing stock with precision—weekly reconciliations and tight cost control to ensure margins thrive.
- Supporting and standing in for the Food & Beverage Manager when needed.
- Handling guest feedback professionally to reinforce a culture of continuous service improvement.

Requirements
Must-Have Skills & Experience
We train for attitude, but here’s the baseline:
- Proven management experience in Food & Beverage—proven track record of leadership matters.
- Exceptional people management skills.
- Attention to detail, a business-savvy mindset, and an innovative approach.
- Knowledge and leadership in hospitality and catering challenges—from busy lunch rushes to dinner service pivots.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and approachable—we need a positive 'can-do' vibe.
- Hands-on, natural leadership capacity with the grit to work under pressure.
Bonus (Nice to Have)
No pressure here—just emboldening additions!
- Understanding the numerical side of P&L and profit growth.
- Level 2 Food Safety certification.
- Personal Licence for enhanced operational flexibility.
- Preference: Experience in holiday / seasonal hospitality sectors.
