Reporting To: F&B Manager / Assistant F&B Manager
Tasks/Responsibilities
- Provide an efficient, polite, and courteous service to guests over breakfast service, room service, or events
- Take orders over the phone and in person in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Ensure orders are given to the Kitchen in a timely manner
- Prepare teas, coffees, and other hot beverages for guests
- Assist with setting tables, polishing china, and cutlery
- Assist the Room Service Manager/Supervisors in the overall responsibility and smooth operation of all Food and Beverage areas such as Room Service, Mini Bar, Breakfast Room, Meeting and Event Rooms
- Ensure that all areas are kept correctly with regards to storage and cleanliness at all times
- In conjunction with the Kitchen, ensure that consistent quality in production and service of food in the room service is maintained
- Ensure that all work equipment is in good working order and liaise with other departments for maintenance and repair if necessary
- Handle deliveries, inspect items, and report any discrepancies
- Refilling fridges in preparation area and mini-bars in guest rooms
- Assist in stock count and inform the Manager if stock is low
- Handle guest requests, allergies, and dietary needs with professionalism and care
- Accurately handle guest billing, ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain professional body language and grooming standards at all times, adhering to the hotel's policies and guidelines

- Possess an understanding of the Liquor License and all Health & Safety procedures
- Positive in approach with self-driven attitude
- Excellent social and communication skills
- Ability to work within a team as well as alone
- Excellent spoken and written English

- Highly motivated and able to motivate others
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel setting
