Job Details
- Location: Council Headquarters, Hamilton
- Hours: 35 hrs per week, permanent
- Work Pattern:
- Monday–Thursday: 8.45am–4.45pm
- Friday: 8.45am–4.15pm
- Salary/Hourly Rate: £54,783 – £59,911
- Post Holder: Transformation and Business Change Adviser
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional to support the delivery of transformation and business change across South Lanarkshire Council. In this role, you will:
- Assist services in redesigning operational functions using person-centred, place-based approaches aligned to the Neighbourhood Places framework.
- Pilot a new service delivery model based on the Marmot Principles, translating high-level strategic plans into actionable delivery models.
- Contribute to meaningful change that delivers improved outcomes for communities and develops your expertise in large-scale transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support transformation programmes across services
- Lead service redesign and improvements using person-centred methodologies
- Translate strategic objectives into clear plans, actions, and delivery strategies
- Support monitoring, reporting and governance frameworks for projects
- Collaborate with colleagues and partners to delivery change and disseminate best practice

Essential Requirements
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Experience in supporting organisational change, service improvement, or transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with public sector transformation and Marmot-based approaches for equity and place-based delivery
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to align teams and stakeholders
- Ability to plan, coordinate, prioritise activities, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- Proactive, collaborative mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement
