Location: Council Headquarters, Almada Street, Hamilton Hours: 21 hours per week, fixed term for up to 9 months Work Pattern: Monday to Wednesday 8:45am to 4:45pm Salary: £25,336 - £25,895 per year
Finance and Corporate Resources are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our IT Service Centre Team as a Service Centre Engineer.
Duties will include:
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person
- Document and track issues using a ticketing system
- Help with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT Systems
- Perform routine system checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Support in monitoring network performance and security
- Participate in on-site shadowing and training to enhance technical skillset
- Assist in preparing and updating IT documentation
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing user inquiries promptly
- Ensure user satisfaction by following up on resolved issues
- Assist in analysing recurring faults and identifying trends to support proactive resolution and service improvement
- Support work scheduling and coordination with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of installations and minimise disruption
