FCAS Investments Projects Programme & Bid Manager Location: Warton – 4 days a week on site Contract: Hybrid and flexible working options available (discuss with recruiter)


Salary: £67,000+ (dependent on experience)

This role uniquely supports FCAS (Future Combat Air System) while contributing to an £2bn+ estates/infrastructure programme spanning 70–100+ projects over 10 years, steered by a new and newly formed team.

As an FCAS Investments Projects Programme & Bid Manager, you’ll play a crucial part in shaping tomorrow’s security infrastructure.


Core Responsibilities

  • Governance & Compliance Ensure adherence to FCAS Secure Infrastructure programmes and external stakeholders during intake, bid submission, approvals, and reporting of Investment Projects.

  • Schedule & Coordination Oversee the Infrastructure and Facilities Services (I&FS) Integrated Master Schedule, collaborating with scheduling, delivery managers, consultants, and critical functions to ensure a logic-linked master plan.

  • Project Control & Reporting Align with central project control functions on behalf of FCAS Investments for consistent reporting on both portfolio and project levels with customers and partner departments.

  • Strategic Delivery Partner Management Support the selection, management, and governance of externally procured Strategic Delivery Partners for Programme Management services, including performance management under Alliance contracts.

  • Team Leadership & Development Lead recruitment, succession, and development planning for the I&FS and PM (project management) functions. Accountable for influencing delivery outcomes through team members.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Project Management or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Commercial or construction industry expertise.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage small teams towards clear objectives.
  • Extensive experience influencing internal/external stakeholders at senior levels.
  • Expertise in applying problem-solving techniques to navigate complexity, with strong reporting capacity to leadership.

The FCAS Estates & Infrastructure Team

You’ll report to the Head of FCAS Estates & Infrastructure, collaborating with delivery managers on an panel-embedded PM solution, directing £2bn+ capital spend in infrastructure throughout 10 years of work.
