Equine Yard Tutor (Fixed Term until 31st August 2027) – £25,305 – £44,227 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week (starting at 7am)
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional equine teaching on Level 3 Equine courses, ensuring students achieve outstanding results. You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality teaching sessions that inspire students to develop a passion for Equine Management
- Demonstrate and train in practical Equine Husbandry, Equitation, and Stable Management specialisms
- Act as a yard tutor, providing mentorship, pastoral support, and hands-on training during morning Equine Husbandry sessions (7am start)
- Oversee the development of barn supervisors and manage equine husbandry administration
- Undertake learner assessments, marking, and monitoring progress, including setting targets and grading performance
About You
Required:
- Willingness to complete a teaching qualification if unqualified
- A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area
- Minimum of BHS Stage 3 Coach / BHSAI or equivalent qualification
- Experience working on a busy equine yard, maintaining high standards of horse care and welfare
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging teaching sessions
